La storia di Officinarkitettura è anche e soprattutto la storia di un luogo.
Pieve di Cento è un piccolo borgo in provincia di Bologna dove Andrea Bernagozzi, architetto, e Giorgio Buratti, esperto in marketing, incrociano le loro strade professionali e di pensiero, scegliendo di dare forma a qualcosa di nuovo.
Il progetto Officinarkitettura nasce nel 2015 dal loro incontro sul lavoro, ma diviene presto una condivisione di intenti all’insegna del bello.
Tutto ha inizio da una sfida: Andrea propone a Giorgio di decorare alcune lastre di Kerlite per accontentare il desiderio di un cliente. Non è mai stato fatto prima di quel momento, Giorgio lo sa e per questo accetta.
La Kerlite è un supporto ceramico particolare, in lastre, leggerissimo, che però non tollera il colore ad alte temperature, quindi diventa necessario dipingerla a freddo. Prende da qui il via un lungo percorso di studio del prodotto che però diventa anche occasione per fare delle scelte: la decorazione sarà interamente artigianale, fatta a mano.
Alla Kerlite si aggiungono altri rivestimenti murali, diversi tipi di carta da parati che sostengono però tutti la stessa scelta, quella di creare una gamma ridotta di supporti ma tutti di altissima qualità. E tutti ecosostenibili.
Si può essere un’azienda green se tutta la filiera è orientata a questo. Andrea e Giorgio lo sostengono con convinzione e trasmettono il loro credo con le piccole grandi scelte quotidiane che un’azienda richiede. Tutti i materiali provengono dall’Italia e la maggior parte sono ecologici: resine e inchiostri a base acqua; i tagli e le finiture sono manuali, ognuno diverso, ognuno unico.
Negli otto anni di attività, Officinarkitettura cresce molto, produce ventuno collezioni, avvalendosi sia di designer interni all’azienda, sia collaborando con artisti esterni che donano le proprie opere perché diventino a tutti gli effetti arredi, sguardi sul mondo. I soggetti sono i più svariati e svelano tutta la passione per l’arte e per il design che Giorgio e Andrea ancora condividono.
Pieve di Cento non è soltanto il luogo che ospita la sede del brand, ma fa da laboratorio e da showroom: molte delle attività che animano la vita del paese ospitano un piccolo pezzo di Officinarkitettura, chi una parete, chi un bancone.
La scelta di restare, di fare di un piccolo luogo un polo produttivo, ha creato una relazione virtuosa di crescita reciproca, in cui non è più possibile distinguere le due entità ma ciascuna fiorisce nel rapporto con l’altra.

The Officinarkitettura project was born in 2015 from their meeting at work, but soon becomes a sharing of intentions in the name of beauty.
It all starts with a challenge: Andrea proposes to Giorgio to decorate some slabs of Kerlite to satisfy a customer’s desire. It has never been done before, Giorgio knows it and for this reason he accepts.
Kerlite is a particular ceramic support, in slabs, very light, which however does not tolerate color at high temperatures, therefore it becomes necessary to paint it cold. From here begins a long process of study of the product which, however, also becomes an opportunity to make choices: the decoration will be entirely artisanal, handmade.
Kerlite is joined by other wall coverings, different types of wallpaper which, however, all support the same choice, that of creating a reduced range of supports but all of the highest quality. And all eco-sustainable.
You can be a green company if the entire supply chain is oriented towards this. Andrea and Giorgio support it with conviction and transmit their creed with the little big daily choices that a company requires. All materials come from Italy and most are ecological: water-based resins and inks; the cuts and finishes are manual, each different, each unique.
In the eight years of activity, Officinarkitettura has grown a lot, producing twentyone collections, using both internal designers within the company, and collaborating with external artists who donate their works so that they become furnishings, gazes on the world.

The subjects are the most varied and reveal all the passion for art and design that Giorgio and Andrea still share.
Pieve di Cento is not only the place that houses the brand’s headquarters, but also acts as a laboratory and showroom: many of the activities that animate the life of the town host a small piece of Officinarkitettura, some a wall, some a counter.
The choice to stay, to make a small place a productive pole, has created a virtuous relationship of mutual growth, in which it is no longer possible to distinguish the two entities but each flourishes in the relationship with the other.
